Crooks are sketching signs to indicate if homes are
worth breaking into, with police calling on the public to keep an eye out.
A secret code used by burglars is being employed
across homes in Harrow, police have confirmed.
Council street cleaners began noticing the signs
chalked outside of households in Stanmore, which have nationally been reported
to each indicate a different meaning, ranging from letting criminals know if
the home owner is a woman living alone to signalling that there is nothing
